You know you have curly hair when:
(This straight hair girl can’t take credit for these great quotes. I found some here.)
If you can relate to any of the above comments, you may benefit from our hair butter. Do you have thin, straight, wispy hair? Pass on this product.
Your hair isn’t curly but maybe it’s thick? Our Second Life Hair Butter does wonders on my husband’s thick, coarse hair, but his isn’t curly. What he needed was natural oils that come in the hair butter and he’s happy that it takes the “fluff” away from freshly washed/dried hair… he uses it as a styling agent. His mother has become one of Second Life’s biggest fans. It’s perfect for aging, grey hair.
Is it for everyone?
Actually, no. As much as I’d love a product to give my hair a lift, new look, style or pizazz, my own hair has enough of its own natural oil that any added hair butter makes it look greasy. In fact, even the most static, fine, thin hair can only manage a very small amount of hair butter, if any at all. When starting out, use it sparingly. That’s the most valuable bit of feedback we’ve received from customers.
Jenny D: Soft and easy to spread I use this in the car (pocket size) in the morning on the way to work and it takes frizz really well and is easy to spread.
Christina F: Second Life Hair Butter – is for real! This hair butter has truly given my curly gray hair second life! It controls fly-aways, gives shine and texture/volume!
Lesley: Softer hair! I’ve used this on my dry hair to soften the coarseness & to tame the frizz & have also used it on my wet hair to detangle & define curls. A little goes a long way.
By the way, an expert you might want to follow related to how to cut curly hair, which products work well on curly hair, and more is Scott Musgrave. I interviewed him a few years ago and documented that interview here: https://hardlotion.com/what-to-do-with-frizzy-wavy-or-coiled-hair-i-ask-the-expert/
Krista writes: “I usually wear my hair curly, and the Second Life Hair butter really helps to keep the frizz under control. I usually add a little to my towel-dried hair and let it dry completely with the product. This weekend I decided to straighten my hair and I didn’t think to use the hair butter since I was going to blow dry it. The next day my hair was out of control with static, so added the hair butter to give it the moisture it was seeking. It tamed the staticky hair quickly. I don’t use a lot of product, a little goes a long way, so even with my hair on day three, my hair looks healthy and tame, not at all greasy.”
