Why Goat Milk Soap is Better than Commercial Soap

Goat Milk Soap vs. Commercial soap: what makes it better?

If you’ve been using Goat Milk Soap for any length of time, you know that it feels better on your skin, you tend to need less lotion, and overall, your skin doesn’t feel “stripped” of it’s moisture and oils compared to the traditional store bought soap. What makes it better? Scroll down for a checklist:

Here are 6 more reasons why the soap we sell at MadeOn is better than other goat milk soap.
  1.  The Butterfat:  Regina’s Nigerian Dairy goats produce the highest butterfat in the goat world, containing 2 – 3 times more cream than any other dairy breed.
  2. The Ingredients:  Our goat milk soap is made up mostly of raw goat milk. Regina uses organic ingredients from the best suppliers and most reputable vendors in the business.
  3. The Expertise: Making goat milk soap is Regina’s profession, not a side-job or hobby. She has an education in chemistry, plus training in aromatherapy and natural formulation, and she understands the SCIENCE of goat milk soap. She’s been a guest speaker at events like Mother Earth where she shares her knowledge with other soap makers.
  4.  The quality of goat milk:  Regina uses only fresh, real, raw goat’s milk from her own herd, and never powdered milk. The goat milk does not contain antibiotics, hormones, medication or additives.
  5. How goat milk soap is made:   Regina uses the longer, time-consuming cold process method, meaning no additional heat is added to the process. Applying high heat can curdle the milk, destroy its nutrient dense value and even alter the desired final scent. The only heat is that which is part of the natural saponification reaction.
  6. How goat milk soap is cured:  By using the cold process method, nature is left alone to do its job. There’s a special curing room, dehumidified and kept at the perfect temperature to remove the water naturally. Then a quality-control check is performed every few weeks on pH and hardness.
